We just wrote a complaint about this company with the better business bureau: We just received the blinds we ordered on April 3rd and were surprised to find out that the product did not match the advertisement. We did extensive research on blinds to fit our new windows and picked this company to order the 9 blinds we need.

As a trial, we ordered only one blind (luckily!). We had seen this style with other companies "Cordless Top Down Bottom Up" and loved the simplicity of just pushing the blind up and down without any effort. We measured as instructed in the video and ordered the blind. To our surprise, the operation was different than advertised.

It has a button that has to be pressed down at all times in order for the blind to go up an down. A terrible inconvenience and not at all what we wanted. We immediately called customer service but were told there as nothing they could do about it - no refunds and no store credit. We would be willing to order the rest of the blinds with them with the system that we had wanted all along but the customer service rep said there was nothing they could do for us because that's their policy.

In other words, the customers are at a loss! Nowhere in the pictures or the advertising does it mention it has these horrible inconvenient buttons that need to be pressed in order for the blind to work. We are extremely disappointed with this company and want our $133.92 back!

PS: We got a call back from Michael Parsons | Director of Customer Service and were told we're absolutely not getting our money back! Customer service is a nightmare!

No resolution. It's a scam!!

I feel your pain. They sent me a piece of crap and then told me the defect was "normal" and how to "shim" a roller shade to make it work. Their stuff is junk, and I don't plan on using them again.

To SelectBlinds: if you think your stuff is quality, then stand behind it with a money-back guarantee.

My problems: 1. My original item was back-ordered 2. When I tried to get this item changed to an available item the staff was very nice and when I explained that I needed the item soon offered to rush my order. supposedly it was changed and would be delivered that Friday. It never came. 3. The following Monday I contacted them again, they were apologetic and said the blinds would be here by yesterday, assuring me that this would be the case. My blinds did not come. 4. I contacted them yesterday, and today and they do not know the status of the blinds being shipped, are unsure if the blinds have been produced. They promised to call me yesterday, they did not. They have stated they will call me today, I am still waiting. 5. Select blinds is not the manufacturer, they are some company who works loosely with a manufacturer and it takes 8 hours for them to get a response back and then they may or may not be able to help you. 6. GET BLINDS FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION!

Cannot give me an update on status of order. Yet shows estimate ship date is 4/20/16.

I've contacted them 5 times and asked for a supv and the supv has to call me back. Have never heard from anyone. Credit card was charged the day after the order was placed. Waiting until 5/4/16 and will dispute the charges.

This company appeared to be a reputable, well known internet based company. But all I seem to get is the run around each time I've contacted them. From all the complaints/reviews I've read, do your research !!!! Buyers Beware !!!!

The customer service department is horrible. Chat is the easiest avenue of contact, but you don't get any action.

The hold time is sometimes for hours. From what I can tell, this company is a scam and from the other comments and reviews, I'm not the only one that believes this!

After posting negative reviews online, I was contacted by another customer service rep, Kristie, who promised to resolved the problem and send me the correct blinds. A few weeks later I received some blinds in the mail...

NOT WHAT I ORDERED. AGAIN.

This company can not figure out how to accurately complete an order. I will never order blind from them again.

Select Blinds has made so many errors in my orders and their customer service has still not fixed the errors, months later. I ordered multiple sets of blinds for my new home. Every single order I placed was incorrect upon delivery. One set of blinds came with cords when I ordered cordless. Another couple of sets were missing valences. Yet another blind arrived at my home as light-filtering, when I specifically ordered light-blocking blinds for my daughter's nursery. I have sent customer service multiple photos of the errors, sent screenshots of my order confirmation emails as proof of what I ordered, and I have requested replacement blinds (to receive what I actually ordered). Their customer service took days to get back to me, and their responses have still not provided any resolution. In the meantime, I have tacked blankets on my daughters windows to block the light.. Select Blinds has been a ridiculous waste of my time and money. I would NOT recommend their services.

I ordered 27 blinds from Selectblinds.com, when I got them 4 had broken valances in transit. I was so mad I called customer service and they asked me to send photos. I mean really, like Im going to lie over 4 valances but whatever.

I sent the photos and to my shock, they send me brand new perfect valances within 4 days! So thank you select blinds for coming through and showing me you are a good company that supports your customers.

I thought it only fair that I was about to post a negative review here for that I now post a positive one and let people know if you just call them they will take care of you.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

WE ORDERED BLINDS AFTER FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS ONLINE AND ADDING TWO INCHES TO OUR MEASUREMENTS. THE BLINDS CAME IN TWO INCHES TOO WIDE.

WE HAVE A LIMITED AREA TO INSTALL THE BLINDS SO THEY DO NOT FIT. i ONLINE CHATTED AND SPOKE TO REPRESENTATIVES WHICH WERE NOT HELP SINCE THE ONLY OFFER WE HAD TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE WAS TO LET US BUY A NEW BLIND AT A SLIGHT DISCOUNT. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. SO NOW, I HAVE WASTED OVER $100 AND NEED TO GO SHOPPING.

I wish I had seen this review before I was duped into getting my blinds from Select Blinds. The end product is useless.

i ordered Faux Wood Cordless Blinds. They are not faux wood, not even close, this is just cheap plastic and it looks like cheap plastic. Plus, because they're cordless, you can't really control the opening of the blinds. To open them we have to pull the blind down below the window sill, then when we place the blind back into the window sill they close up.

What good are blinds if you can't keep them open? This company is very deceitful and I too was told by their Customer Service that I could choose another one of their blinds at a slight discount. When I asked if I could return the defective blinds, they actually told me to just donate them somewhere. Really?

Appalling.

Will never use this company again. i just wasted $125.

Select Blinds is a ripoff

Terrible customer service and terrible product. I have laughable recordings of about five customer service reps giving us the run around. When we received the blinds they look like they were sewn by a child. Poor stitching, puckering down the front of blind, and a big gap at the top. We submitted photos to a M..... a few weeks ago and have been getting the run around since. The person handling it is always at lunch, then you talk to another person who lies about calling you back. Their excuse as of a week after us waiting patiently was they sent it to the wrong factory. I have a recording of one of the gentlemen I spoke to, he was nice, a Trekkie but also a liar now, said he had seen the photos and understood why I was so unhappy. The factory mine came from was Mexico. They said they have to contact the factory that made them. The company might be in USA but my blinds said made in Mexico. That doesn't even bother me, but I expect whoever is making them to have some care with their craftsmanship. My husband works for an architecture firm, so he works with many designers. We will try to cost them at least a thousand times what they've cost us including the time. I can't stand companies like this. We're making a YouTube video out of the emails and recorded phone calls between many customer service reps.

I finally spoke with a kind and understanding customer service rep who wanted to make things right. She says she is giving me a full refund because of the poorly crafted blinds I received.

I appreciate her attention to resolving this matter. I have been assured that this is not the norm.

If the woman, ..., or anyone "handling" my case doesn't call me back today, I am going to call back one more time, record it, and then post my you tube culmination. Then I will contact the BBB. Hopefully, people still check business's with them.

Took the money and lost the order and Paypal had the float!

Ordered blinds on the 12th of the month. Money left my checking account and into Paypal holding listed as transaction complete on the 12th. No blinds were ever shipped. Had to contact Select Blinds about order, they showed no order.

I was out the money with no blinds. Select said they don't receive or take payment until the order is shipped.

Summary: Paypal had my money on float, Select Blinds lost the order, had to send a copy of the Paypal transaction number so they could find but know they would never have contacted me first because they lost the order.

Customer Service could only say sorry but not we will have you blinds right away. After many emails I still have no blinds and no payment credit from Paypal that was removed from my checking account.

Do not purchase products from Select Blinds www.selectblinds.com There really should be a rotten tomatoes rating for this company. They are far below the one star their site and others allow to rate and review. Absolutely the worst blinds imaginable! Top down, bottom up style has flimsy piece of plastic with one measly magnet to hold the top-down rail to the head rail which is completely loose and detached from head rail. Sags unevenly and looks atrocious. Not worth a darn. Locking mechanism also defective and will not hold the blinds in place. I have installed at least 20 of this type of blind from other companies with absolutely no problems. The shoddy workmanship and quality is extremely poor. Deceptive 100% satisfaction guarantee claim. Asked for a supervisor to contact me after initial conversation with a Melissa in customer service to whom photos were sent. Haven't heard squat from them since. Been nearly two weeks since initial contact. Wanted to give the benefit of a doubt, but now realize they could care less. They won't do anything to fix these defects much less offer a refund or even an exchange for a new product that is not defective. They want me to repair the things myself. Am reporting them to BBB and online fraud review board. Don't buy this product or anything from this company, You might as well just throw your $$$$ out the window you wanted the blinds for :(

If you have a question or issue about an order, don't expect to reach anyone. If you call, they continue to offer the option for a callback while you wait. Eventually the system will make the choice for you and you will either leave a message or be disconnected. 1. They DO NOT answer the phone. 2, They force you to leave a message. 3. They DO NOT call you back. 4. Live Chat is disabled. The reason for my call: Two orders placed via their website. No tracking or shipping information after 7 days.

THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE!!!! IT is a rip off!!! They sent the wrong order and WILL NOT give me my money back. THERE MISTAKE AND THEY WILL NOT CORRECT IT!!! charged $450 and will not refund me. REALLY. There customer service is horrible and they talk in sentences which make no sense. I ordered and then called the next day to change it, they charged me for the change and the corrected and would not, WOULD NOT take there order back. It was insane! I am thinking of getting a lawyer!

Poor workmanship terrible customer service

I ordered 8 blinds from them. 7 outside mount 1 inside mount. 6 of the blinds were correctly made. 1 of the outside mount blinds the strings were not aligned properly. The header and bottom of the blind were level but the slats were slanted. Refused to replace. 1 of the outside mount blinds was made as an inside mount. Refused to replace offered new valence even though blind was now to small. This is a terrible company and you should not do business with them. If you do business with them document everything as you will need to use the credit card dispute process to get them to even call you.

I placed an order for the blinds based on their projected delivery date. Once the order was placed the date changed not once, but twice. I immediately began attempting to cancel my order and was summarily ignored my customer service. Their phone system was down and directed me to their online chat, which was down and directed me to their phone system. I submitted their online webforms multiple times and received no response. I replied multiple times to the confirmation email and received no response. In fact, I never heard from anyone until the blinds had been shipped, at which time I was told since they had already been shipped it was too late to do anything. When they arrived they looked cheap and the pull chains for all blinds did not allow you to close them all the way. Terrible blinds, terrible service, untrustworthy company.

I ordered blinds on 11/30/15 and was told I would receive them at the latest by 12/14/15. I had originally wanted a different blind but went with this one since it could be made quickly and I would have them up in time for 20 people coming to my house for Christmas. After hearing nothing and calling multiple times without being able to get though, I finally got someone to email all to find out they weren't going to be shipped until 12/30/15. I wouldn't have ordered these blinds had I known this in the first place. Then when they were delivered there was damage and they were not even the correct size that I ordered. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!

SelectBlinds complaint

They do not know how to cut shades. Give exact measurement and they do not allow for setback when placed inside an enclosed area. They just do not understand it. In addition, they drag their feet to correct the complaints. We have been trying to solve this issue since past Thanksgiving. 2 months ago. Contacting credit card company to file for relief and returning the blinds. Will go elsewhere but not this company.
